Janet is not only the current President of the Glasgow Southern Art Club, but has been an elected Artist Member of the Glasgow Society of Women Artists and the Paisley Art Institute, whose committee she has served on, for a number of years.
She has a wide range of knowledge and experience and is well acquainted with the Arts in Scotland, having worked in both the private and public sector. As well as painting, mostly landscapes and portraiture for which she is best known, she now spends most time teaching private classes.
At the 2015 Art Club Exhibition, she won the prestigious Glasgow Art Club prize for her portrait 'Caroline'.
